1. Comfort is key.
Example: Clip on glasses, no more boots with heels.
2. Technology is starting to actually scare me.
Example: 1. Kindle Mayday button. No one should be able to turn on your Kindle and circle things on it when not in the same room, holding it. 2. Phones that let you print pictures anywhere. Wireless...to anywhere. Freaky.
3. I got excited when I saw Scott Baio on a talk show. I related more to him than I did the teenager they interviewed.
4. 1997 was not just a few years ago. It was 16 years ago! I date everything in my life by that year. Sheesh.
5. FRIENDS ENDED 9 years ago.
6. Can't go to Walmart at 7:30 pm anymore because it's too close to bedtime.
7. I'm off Facebook because I feel it is the downfall of society.
8. Regarding #7 and other issues. Why use/say/do anything that is potentially negative to you or anyone else. If it causes drama and discord stay away.
9. I've eased up on people, which in return has made me ease up on myself. I'm so wise.
10. Walter and I are active in the BPO (parent's organization at Marley's school).
11. I don't feel the need to prove my point to everyone. I mean, I'm right anyway.
12. I don't care as much about what people think of my parenting. You mess your own kid up and I'll mess up mine.
13. I have my kids listen to John Denver.
14. I have been married 10 1/2 years.
15. A teenager at church calls me "Mrs. Jenny."
16. Even though I consider myself "college age", I really haven't been so for at least 6 or 7 years.
17. That music on the radio shor ain't country no more. For realz.
18. Johnny Depp is 50!
19. Puff Daddy is still Puff Daddy and Snoop Dog is still Snoop Dog to me.
20. A kid that was in 7th grade when we started youth ministry is now engaged.
21. My child tells me not to say certain things because that's "kinda embarrassing."
22. I jam to TLC, Prince, Savage Garden and Tracy Chapman.
23. I just used the word jam.
24. I think the world is going to pot.
Well it is 10:08 and I'm about to fall asleep.

I started my own list, but it could never match yours. Suffice it to say, if you're old, I'm always older. And I'm fine with that. Love you little Jif.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet you could. I want to see it. I'm at peace with it for the most part. I'm content. I feel like I should be embarrassed yet I don't care enough to be too embarrassed. As Mama Jeane says, "they can like it or lump it."
